I absolutely love clocks, watches and all types of timekeeping pieces. The variety is endless, which makes them collectable and when you find something that’s instrumental and iconic, to have your own example is satisfying and exciting!
This stunning vintage retro F- Cell TIMEX SSQ example, is one of those! Iconic and screaming out space age 70s, this is one of the first of its kind with its retro red LED numerals and sleek chrome metal body and strap. It’s been fitted with a battery within the last year and is working, but I’m sure it needs some kind of setting, as it doesn’t keep Time correctly, which is unusual for a digital clock.
This stunning watch has been worn in its life, but has been looked after. In very good condition for its age with some surface marks and scratches to the perspex face and fine scratches to the chrome strap/wristband. For an electronic watch that’s been around for 50 years, in overall great condition and testament to its quality in production. It also retains its original chrome metal TIMEX branded strap/wristband, which are often broken or damaged.
A nice iconic TIMEX digital watch for the collectors!
