Rye Pottery is not only collectable dues to its heritage that dates back to 1793, but because of its stunning and varied design, with well-known potters such as David Sharp and Dennis Townsend taking up residency at Rye, designs that are still produced today by the Rye Pottery Studios in Sussex.
A very popular and well known pattern is the cottage stripe. This bowl dates from circa the 1950’s to 1960’s and bears the period marks on the base. In a gorgeous cobalt blue, this bowl measures approximately 15cm wide and 6.5cm high and is in excellent undamaged original condition. Any marks are factory marks or reflections.
